Flashback!! We were leaving the Chapel in the background today and there was a procession going by the Church and making a lot of noise with a band and a number of people in purple outfits. This really took me back to my first mission. This is the Catholic "Senior de los Milagros" (Jesus of the miracles) This used to be a big deal. Everyone in this country used to wear purple during the month of Octuber. We will see what Octuber brings.

You can tell that you've been in Peru a long time when you spell the month as "Octuber" (from "octubre"). I love it!

i wanted to be the first to diss on the "Octuber" reference. oh, well, better late than never...It's October or Octubre, but not Octuber Dooglar.
That remind me of the UW-BYU game when we saw a sea of purple!
Glenn here. BYU is 7th in the USA Today poll.....8th in the AP poll....9th in the first Harris poll. You pabably know this but the BYU Utah State game in on BYU Friday at 6:00 MST. Go Cougs!
