Welcome to Earth Dougie

This child began his birth process on Justin's birthday. What a blessing to him and them. I waited all night with the computer on my chest as I could not sleep. At 5:30 our time we got the word. What a blessing to have this little baby here. Angelique did well and she is strong. Justin is excited and will be great dad. They surprized us with the name of Douglas Justin Earl. I have to say that it makes me very happy. When you get old, you see your footprint on earth in terms of your children, grandchildren and names. Had I known that more when we were younger, I would have had a Bunker, Leavitt, Pulsipher, Ward, Roylance, and maybe even a Dilley. As grandparents we hope to measure up to the trust that our children have in us. We are excited to reunite with Grandma Jones, to be able to see Grandma Earl, the brothers, sisters, kids and grandkids. We still have a lot to do here. We have a lot of trips and speaking opportunities. Mom is just talking all the time. She is doing well. Gil and Pam are coming this week and we are excited to see them. We have a mission reunion this next Friday and we have over 100 missionaries coming with their families. There will be more than 400 people and we will take a lot of pictures. We have activities for the whole day planned.

He is a cute little guy. Glad he is here safe and sound. What an honor to have your name. I agree with you. I would have named mine, Kirby, Jensen, Christyanna, Laura, Anne, Katherine, hello! you get the picture! Danielle gave her boy the middle name of Glenn. He wouldn't allow me to use that name. You should have seen him strut! I am rather fond of Seth's little one with Katherine as her middle name.

just got back from Texas, but that's cool to hear the good news. Oh man, does this mean I have to be nice to my kids so they'll name one of their sons after me?

Congratulations! What a blessing! I gave my last daughter my mother's middle name, Esther, and she was touched. My brother has one with my dad's name as a middle name too--Otto. Great to have a little Douglas Earl and to be able to see him despite the distance! Wonderful!
