Well, we finally got the letters and info from SLC and a letter from the First Presidency. You see here the temple in front with the tall red building behind it (back right) as the MTC (floors 5,6 and 7) We have 6 classrooms, with a capacity of 72 missionaries. We have temple patron housing, a distribution center, family history library, seminary and institute offices, classrooms and library in the building, plus our apartment, the temple president apartment and places for visiting general authorities. We can eat at the MTC or in our apartment. We have two cars, one for the MTC and one for us. North Americans coming here have 3 weeks in Provo and 5 weeks with us. Local Spanish and portuguese speaking missionries are also taught. Occasionally italian and French missionaries are trained at the MTC in their native language and these missionaries stay for 3 weeks. They handle about 320 a year or 26 a week. Not too bad. The building on the left behind the temple (a stake center) has an underground parking lot between the Patron's building/MTC and the stake center. The missionaries go there from the MTC to use the basketball court and facilities. Sounds like we will be able to work out there with them. The food and teaching is provided by full time employees. We are there for counseling, encouragement, devotionals, meetings, sunday church and who knows what else. I think we can get to know the missionaries and help them get off to a good start. We are starting to get excited. The airport is 5 miles from the MTC and the MTC is 5 miles from the center of Madrid. The pictures they sent of our apartment looks cool but I don't know about bedrooms. It will all work for those visiting....don't worry.
