Saavedra and Uceda

I found Arcenio Saavedra and Fidel Uceda in Sullana. Saavedra was an assistant and Uceda was a secretary for a long time. Saavedra was the one that was shot in the arm and didn't miss a day of work in the mission. They both looked good and we had a good visit with them.

I remember both of these guys pretty well...it is crazy to see them now...Uceda hasn't changed one little bit. As I remember he was a little older for a missionary. Saavedra has filled out a little. I remember when he came to the mission home with his arm all bandaged up. Crazy times.

To see these wonderful Peruvian missionaries (returned missionaries) makes me so proud to have served a mission there. I might not get to Peru on my first senior mission, but I'm still holding out hope to serve there again some day.

It's always great to read about your work there.
