Lapband and Airplanes
Last monday I got an adjustment on the lap band. Again we must have put in just a tad too much because I have really lost weight in the last 7 days, but it is because I have not been able to eat anything. Of course that means that it is hard to sleep and on and on. I dont havetime to do something about it for another week. In the meantime, we had a really cool trip set for Friday to go to Cajamarca. That is the place where the Spanish took the inca Atahualpa and had him fill up the rooms with silver and gold as they were being conquered. Anyway, we worked hard all day Friday and then got a taxi and took the hour to get out there for an 8:00 pm trip. However, it was an 8:00 a.m. trip and we were 12 hours too late for the trip. We missed the flight and so we road a taxi back to the house and we stayed home this weekend. We have a training and fireside here in Lima tonight so it will still wear us out. Can you believe we didn't know when we were leaving? That is some place I actually wanted to visit.

i hope you aren't wasting away to nothing. And being 12 hours late for a trip is SO not you. Amazing. I love you guys.
WHAT??? Mexico was bad enough but you had the procedure done in Peru?? Good grief, hope you are not having additional problems...we do enjoy the blog and we miss you both!
You are WAY off if you are missing flights?! You can find your way back......
We had an extra day in Denver over the AM PM thing once. Hope you get another try for your trip.
Gilmer's mom is from Cajamarca, Gilmer says it is beautiful! hope you find your way back and that you are able to eat some soon. Take care
Ugh, not being able to eat anything does not sound fun to me at all. Hope you better so that you can sleep.
That stinks that you missed your trip. Hopefully you'll be able to do it another time. Please get enough to eat...take care of yourself! :)
Doug I worry about you. I haven't had a fill for 7 months and still am losing weight. Be careful, as you know this is not something to mess with and I don't know how much they know in Peru. It is a delicate balance, with your protein, vitamins, and blood work. Take care of yourself
